A thunderstrom annd heavy rain that started in the adfternoon continued through until nightfall - turning the Sukhumvit Road into a river. Large parts of the road around Asoke and heading down towards Soi 22 were flooded.
The water was around 20cm deep in some place and it was at its worst at the top of each Soi. Each time a a car drove through, a mini tidal wave covered the pavements. Anyone who was walking home from work or heading out for the night had to wade through the deluge.
There was also flooding in the busy On Nut and Huai Khwang districts as well as several others.
*Now then, wouldn't it be nice to see some investment in improving the city's drainage infastructure.*
