Thailand’s restaurant chain released an advert prior to Mother Day’s celebration on Aug 12.
The has gone viral and got over 2 million views in two days, making it to a YouTube top hit.
The Mother’s Day in Thailand is a public holiday but not all can be with their moms on that day.
People in hospitality service are among those without chances to celebrate with their moms.
The restaurant chain’s ad was not staged as it was shot from real events and starred real staff.
The company asked the staff questions about their moms.
“ Do you live with your mom? ”
“ What was the last topic of conversation with her? ”
“ When was the last time you had laugh with your mom? ”
“ What's her favourite food? ”
“ When was the last time you dined with her? ”
“ Have you ever told your mom you love her? ”
“ What makes your mom happy? ”
“ What would you do if you have meal with her? ”
Those questions made staff broke down in tears.
The story ends with tears of joy.
People praise the ad for its creative idea executed with simple production.
Bar B Q plaza is one of Thailand’s largest chains with over 100 branches in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
